The difference between a good designer and a great one often comes down to the Design Process. Research, brainstorming, rough drafts, comprehensive drafts. It’s easy to get an idea quickly and create something beautiful, but there will be something missing; intentionality, informedness, and a tried and true design solution. As a designer, I know that there is no short cut to creating designs that solve the client’s problem. Great design needs to not only be aesthetically pleasing, it actually has to function. Here is a brief walk through of my personal creative process, drawing on the fundamentals of the design process.
